I’m NOT implying that a women needs to weigh 120 lbs…that’s no where near realistic for some people…but it is about health and longevity and the damage obesity causes. Look at the size of the intestines and stomach; how the knee joints rub together; the enlarged heart; and the fat pockets near the brain. What gets me is how their ankles are shaped and curved in….
This was one of the graphic spreads of an August 2004 National Geographic magazine. The headline was “Why Are We So Fat?” by Cathy Newman, and specifically studied the U.S. I remember this because I bought the magazine while on vacation when it was on the stands. And the scan is an MRI, in case you were curious.
